What Is Paper Pulp
If you want to know the close relationship between pulp and paper, we should start from paper pulp. Paper pulp is a kind of fibrous substance which use plant fibre as raw material and prepared by different processing methods. The main component of fibre in the pulp is cellulose, in addition to different levels of hemicellulose, lignin, resin, pigments, pectin and ash and other substances.
Cellulose and hemicellulose are the basic ingredients of the paper pulp, and other ingredients need to be removed. Pulp is generally used in the manufacture of paper and paperboard, but also for the manufacture of wood plastic products, insulation panels, artificial fibres, pulp mold products, cellulose esters, cellulose ethers and so on, widely used all over the world. The waste water and residue generated in the pulping process can also be used to make compound fertilizer, xylitol and so on.

According to the pulp manufacturing methods, paper pulp can be divided into chemical pulp, mechanical pulp and chemical mechanical pulp. Based on raw material varieties paper pulp can be divided into wood pulp, straw pulp, bamboo pulp, cotton pulp, straw, waste paper pulp.
Straw pulp is a kind of pulp, mainly use grass (commonly use rice straw, wheat straw, cotton stalk, dragon straw, reeds, etc) as raw materials. Straw pulp generally contain more hemicellulose, easily beating and sizing.
Wheat straw pulp have the advantages of long fibre length and filtration property better than the rice straw pulp. The paper made by wheat straw pulp is stronger and more transparent. High-quality bleached straw pulp can be used to make all kinds of high-grade writing paper and typing paper. General wheat straw pulp can also be used to make tissue paper, or mixed with other pulp to production cultural paper. Unbleached straw pulp is used to make wrapping paper and cardboard.
